Mariam Babakhanians

My name is Mariam Babakhanians. I grew up in the US and returned to Iran after high school. I immediately started teaching English upon my return and taught at the ILI for 14 years as I transitioned to journalism. I worked as a news writer, editor, translator, simultaneous translator, dubber, political analyst and presenter for 15 years.  I’m still very active in the translation and editing fields. My cultural mix has influenced me throughout my life, making me want to explore the different aspects society and culture have to offer as a whole. And one of the main aspects of teaching English as a native speaker is to convey the culture of English-speaking societies to my students.
